Harry Bloomer and Warren McCabe-Smith have worked together on community film projects since 2005 when they first joined forces to make ‘Take Heart’ – a short film aimed at recognising the value that volunteers give to NHS services in Dudley. The film showed the services available to new patients and carers experiencing heart problems.

In 2006 the duo produced a short exhibition film for supporters of Dudley Hospital Radio.

Another success was a short corporate fundraiser film in 2007 for 3 year old Oscar Fradgley who as a result of Hanahart Syndrome needed regularly to replace expensive prosthetic feet as he outgrew the old ones.

Funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund for a groundbreaking Cradley Then & Now series of DVDs meant that in August 2009 they were able to begin work on a 15 month project about Cradley’s history and people. This complemented other activities in the Cradley community, including local schools, clubs and churches, by the Cradley Then & Now Group.
